Pan/Tilt/Zoom Cameras

These cameras offer the most versatile coverage of a large area. Often supplied with a high optical zoom of up to 36x these cameras can offer fantastic picture quality even from long range.

PTZ cameras can cover a large area with a single camera due to their ability to pan around the scene, the can be operated on a patrol mode so they move at set timings or the can remain on a static view until the operator chooses to move them manually. They can also be set to respond to a trigger such as a gate opening or a PIR sensor being triggered. When the camera receives this message it can be programmed to move and zoom into a certain location and monitor that zone for as long as is required.

Axis PTZ

The Axis Q6035-E is an outdoor IP pan/tilt/zoom security camera with an IP66- and NEMA 4X-rated casing, offering protection from extreme weather conditions including ice and snow. Static Cameras

Static cameras offer a fixed view of a scene; this ensures that once set up nothing gets missed. Static cameras need to have the correct lens installed for the size of the scene and the level of zoom required for the area you are looking to cover and anything up to 180 degree ‘fish eye’ lenses are available.

Static cameras are available as a traditional style bullet shape, or a fixed dome. Here are two Sony outdoor models shown as a bullet cam and a fixed dome version. They both feature integrated infrared emitters so that sharp images can be recorded in complete darkness
